Why Are Quality Water Pumps So Important for Commercial Operations?

Commercial properties demand consistent, high-capacity water delivery. Whether you operate an agricultural facility, industrial plant, resort, or multi-unit commercial complex, a properly sized and installed pump system is essential to your operations. We install submersible, jet, VFD constant-pressure, and centrifugal pump configurations - each engineered to match your exact depth, yield, and volume requirements.

Every pump system we install uses stainless steel components (impellers, bearings, hardware) and integrated electrical protection to handle power spikes and prevent dry-run burnout. We source domestic, USA-made equipment and back every installation with a 5-year replacement warranty, so you can operate with confidence.

They educated me along the way and were meticulous in their work. Highly recommend.

What Our Commercial Pump Systems Include

Every commercial pump installation is custom-engineered and installed by NC-certified contractors. We assess your well's depth and flow rate, select the ideal pump type and configuration, integrate electrical protection and controls, and verify performance so your system operates reliably under full demand.

Book Your Consultation

Submersible Pump Installation Deep-well 4-inch submersible pumps submerged in the well casing, engineered for consistent high-volume commercial delivery.

Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) Systems Constant-pressure pumps with digital drives that auto-adjust motor speed to match real-time demand, reducing energy waste and maintaining steady pressure.

Jet Pump Configurations Single-stage and 2-stage jet pump setups for surface-mounted or shallow-well applications requiring flexible deployment.

Irrigation & Centrifugal Pumping High-capacity centrifugal systems engineered for heavy-volume agricultural, landscape, and industrial water distribution.

Integrated Electrical Protection Automated dry-run protection, motor starters, and overload breakers prevent pump burnout from electrical spikes or low water levels.

5-Year Pump Warranty All newly installed stainless steel pump assemblies include a comprehensive 5-year replacement warranty for worry-free operation.

Commercial Well Pump FAQ

Answers to common questions about commercial pump systems - your specific requirements are best discussed in a consultation.

How do you size a commercial pump system?

Proper sizing is critical - an undersized pump struggles to keep up, while an oversized one short-cycles and wears out early. To get it right, we evaluate several key factors:

  • Well depth and static (resting) water level
  • Well yield / recovery rate measured in gallons per minute (GPM)
  • Your facility's peak simultaneous demand
  • Total dynamic head (vertical lift plus friction and pressure losses)
  • Required system pressure (PSI) at the point of use

With this data in hand, we specify a pump and motor combination that delivers the required flow and pressure without strain or wasted energy.

What's the difference between submersible and VFD pumps?

Both are excellent options, but they behave very differently in the way they deliver water:

  • Submersible pumps: run at a single constant speed, sit down in the well casing, and are simple and reliable - pressure fluctuates as demand changes.
  • VFD (variable frequency drive) systems: continuously adjust motor speed to match real-time demand, holding steady "constant pressure" and reducing energy use and mechanical wear.

VFD systems are ideal for variable-demand commercial operations, while constant-speed submersibles suit steady, predictable loads.

Do commercial pumps require special electrical setup?

Yes - commercial pumps typically draw more power than residential units and often need dedicated electrical service. A complete setup usually includes:

  • Dedicated 240V (and sometimes 3-phase) service sized to the motor
  • Properly rated wiring, disconnects, and breakers
  • Motor control box, starters, and overload protection
  • Code-compliant grounding and surge protection

We coordinate with a licensed electrician and ensure all controls and breakers meet code.

How often should a commercial pump system be serviced?

We recommend at least an annual inspection to extend pump life and catch problems before they escalate. Routine maintenance covers:

  • Pressure and flow-rate checks
  • Inspection of the pressure tank and switch
  • Testing electrical connections and safeties
  • Checking for leaks, wear, and corrosion

We offer maintenance plans to keep the system running optimally year-round and catch small issues before they become costly failures.

Can you handle pump replacement on existing systems?

Absolutely - we regularly upgrade or replace pumps in existing wells. Our process ensures the new system is a precise fit:

  • Diagnose the failing or undersized pump
  • Re-verify well depth, yield, and current demand
  • Match a new stainless steel pump to your exact specifications
  • Remove the old unit and install and test the replacement

Replacement is also a good opportunity to upgrade to a more efficient VFD or constant-pressure system if your needs have grown.

What warranty do your commercial pumps include?

All newly installed stainless steel pump assemblies come standard with a 5-year replacement warranty. Here's what that includes:

  • Covers manufacturing defects on the pump assembly
  • Backed by domestic, USA-made equipment
  • Transferred to you in writing at project completion

Combined with stainless steel construction and integrated electrical protection, this warranty ensures dependable long-term operation.

From Assessment to Full Operation

Every commercial pump installation follows a proven, step-by-step process to ensure reliability and performance.

1

Well & Demand Assessment

We evaluate your well's depth, water level, yield, and your facility's peak water demand to determine the right pump type and capacity.

2

Pump Specification & Selection

Based on our assessment, we specify a stainless steel pump, motor, and control system matched precisely to your requirements - no off-the-shelf approximations.

3

Electrical & Structural Planning

We coordinate electrical service requirements, control box placement, pressure tank sizing, and any auxiliary systems (boosters, filters, treatment) needed for your operation.

4

Installation & Integration

Our certified crew installs the pump, motor, piping, pressure tank, electrical controls, and surge protection, coordinating with your electrician as needed.

5

Testing & Performance Verification

We pressure-test the system, verify flow rate, confirm constant pressure operation, and test all electrical safeties and overload protections.

6

Training & Warranty Transfer

We walk your team through system operation, maintenance, and shutdown procedures - and transfer your 5-year warranty to you in writing.

What Our Customers Say

Reliable service that speaks for itself.

I had Rowan Well Drilling come out to replace my irrigation pump. The company sent out technicians who brought the new pump and associated parts. They were two of the most professional, experienced, polite individuals that has done work for me. As a senior citizen, I have supervised over a hundred employees at one time in my career and these two would be among any that I would choose to do work for me. Thank you for a job well done!

Rowan Well Drilling worked well into the dark to get my new well pump and motor installed along with the 700ft of piping that had to be removed. They educated me along the way and were meticulous in their work. Highly recommend.

Brian Donehoo

Quickly determined we needed a new pump, and went to work. Had water shortly after lunch the same day. 100% recommend these guys, and will also have them do my PM's moving forward. Thank you!
